Scale Figure Comparison: Blue Archive Hoshino vs NIKKE Maiden

Quick answer

For a more dynamic battle display, choose the 1/7 scale Blue Archive Hoshino: Battle figure. For a larger, more detailed swimsuit figure with a shy pose, choose the 1/6 scale NIKKE Maiden: Under the Sun figure.

Scale and size difference

The most immediate difference is scale. Hoshino is a 1/7 scale figure, while Maiden is a 1/6 scale figure. This means Maiden will be noticeably taller and larger overall on your shelf. If you have a dedicated display space, the larger 1/6 scale can make a stronger visual statement. However, if you are limited on shelf height or prefer a more compact collection, the 1/7 scale Hoshino is easier to fit into standard display cases.

Neither figure comes with a base that drastically changes the footprint, but the scale difference alone affects how they pair with other figures. Hoshino will look more natural next to other 1/7 scale figures from Blue Archive or similar series, while Maiden will tower over them.

Pose and character expression

Hoshino is captured in a composed, battle-ready pose wearing full combat gear. Her expression is serious and focused, reflecting her "Oji-san" personality when duty calls. This makes her a great centerpiece for an action-oriented display.

Maiden, on the other hand, is in a bikini with a shy, elegant pose. Her flowing black hair and lustrous skin emphasize a more delicate, summery mood. This figure is ideal if you prefer relaxed or beach-themed collections.

Release timing and availability

Both figures are currently available for preorder. Hoshino's preorder window ends on February 6, 2026, with an expected release in Q1 2027. Maiden's preorder ends earlier, on January 2, 2026, with an expected release in October 2026. If you are deciding between them, note that Maiden will release sooner, but you have a slightly longer window to order Hoshino.

Since both are preorder items, once the windows close, they may become harder to find at retail price. If you are interested in both, consider securing your preorder for the one you want more before its deadline.
